Heavy Transport Driver
Heavy Transport Driver is responsible for transporting goods from one place to another using heavy or tractor-trailer trucks. Operates trucks with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds per gross vehicle weight.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Transport and pick up heavy equipment
• Properly secure machines and attachments at all times
• Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows nightly after shifts
• Report to terminal manager any incidents encountered on the road, with a truck, truck and trailer or equipment
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion
• Pre / Post inspection on vehicle
• Report mechanical problems to the terminal manager and service administration
• Keep their truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order
• Fill out and turn in all contracts and paperwork completely daily
• Report and malfunctions of customer equipment to customer and transport manager
• Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude to every client
• All other duties assigned by management

Qualifications and Skills:
– Towing and Recovery Experience preferred
– Formal industry training a plus
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Class A CDL, DOT and current Medical Card
– Must be able to pass a drug screen and DOT physical
– Must be able to pass a criminal background check
